Is is actually in your schedule? If your promise doesn’t have a solid plan with a realistic amount of time in your schedule, your promise is a fantasy. Learn to catch yourself before you say “yes.” Saying no or responding with a counter-offer may not be acceptable in the culture of your team or organization. However, you can always raise concerns or add conditions before you say yes.
